What We do

Crisis Needs:

• Telephone counseling (no charge) in Japanese and/or English, visitation, or personal meeting for people in crisis situations. 

Practical and Immediate Needs: 

• Providing opportunities for fellowship and growth. 

• Organizing activities, programs, or projects to meet specific needs. 

• Organizing classes (for example: English and culture classes). 

• Making available recent Christian books, literature, hymnals, and Bibles. 

Long-Term Needs: 

• Encouraging cultural exchange through Japanese-American groups, classes, and special programs. 

• Making the stay of Japanese in America meaningful and fruitful for both Japanese and Americans. 

• Working toward better international understanding 

Spiritual Needs: 

• Sharing the Good News of Christ with as many people as possible. 

• Encouraging Japanese to participate in the church of their choice. 

• Making their stay in America spiritually fruitful. 

• Providing public programs with noted Japanese Christian leaders. 

• Working toward greater Christian unity. 

• Organizing and observing Japanese language and worship services. 

• Organizing Bible study groups in Japanese and/or English. 

• Participating in volunteer activities in their communities.
